We show up with the right gear - pry bars, floor scrapers, HEPA vacuums, self-leveling compound - and leave the space ready for the next crew, whether that's ours or someone else's.

Old adhesives and mastic under vinyl and hardwood floors can carry silica dust and, in homes built before 1990, occasionally asbestos. We seal off work areas with plastic, run HEPA-filtered air scrubbers, and wear proper PPE - which is standard on a commercial job but rare on a typical residential one. The result is a project you can live next to without spending weeks scrubbing dust out of your kitchen.
Subfloor leveling - the step a lot of installers skip
In Clark County's climate, subfloors move more than homeowners expect - seasonal moisture swings, crawlspace humidity, older homes that have settled a little over time. A subfloor that's out of level by more than 1/8" over 6 feet will cause LVP and laminate joints to fail within months. We level every job to manufacturer-required tolerances and patch any soft spots before we call a floor ready. Floor Demolition & Prep - frequently asked questions
Yes - haul-away and disposal is included in the demo price. You won't be left with a pile of old carpet or laminate at the curb.
We use HEPA-filtered air scrubbers, plastic sheeting, and ground-source vacuums on our tools. Compared to a typical contractor demo, you'll see a lot less dust drifting into adjacent rooms.
We check during the estimate. If your subfloor is within manufacturer tolerance - usually 1/8" over 6 feet - no leveling is needed. If it's not, we quote the leveling separately so you can see the exact extra cost before we start.
Older vinyl flooring and adhesives from before 1990 can sometimes contain asbestos. If we suspect it, we pause the job, send a sample out for testing, and bring in a licensed abatement contractor if it comes back positive. Once the area is cleared, we resume the prep work.
